We at Kingswood pride ourselves on providing a high level of customer service, on some occasions when there is a breakdown in the level of service we have an internal complaints procedure that will resolve any complaints you may have.
On the rare occasions where we are unable to resolve on any complaint internally we would direct you to the Government Redress organisation The Property Ombudsman (TPOS)
By dealing with a Member of the TPO, the public may be confident about the agent’s approach in its dealings with actual and potential buyers and sellers of residential property or lettings in the UK.
The Property Ombudsman provides a free, fair and independent service for dealing with unresolved disputes between sales and letting agents who have joined the TPO and consumers who are actual or potential buyers or sellers or landlords or tenants of residential property in the UK. The Ombudsman is a member of the British and Irish Ombudsman Association and follows the standards and rules of the Association. The Ombudsman is totally independent of agents and reports directly to the TPO Council which has a majority of non-industry members.
The Ombudsman will not normally review a case until the internal complaints procedure of the agent has been exhausted. If you need guidance on what to do, please contact us and we will be able to assist you

ARLA Inventories
To improve our chances of success in disputes about deposits, we at Kingswood are professionally, qualified ARLA Inventories Provider. By raising the standards we offer the reassurances that all our inventories we carry out for your properties meet the current up to date industry standards.
A badly drawn up inventory could result in the property not being protected in a deposit dispute situation leaving the landlord with no access to any funds from the tenants deposit. Rest assured you are in good hands with Kingswood.
To reinforce our commitment to our landlords we are members of residents landlord association (RLA).
The RLA is the leading voice for landlords in England and Wales. The name dates back to 1998 but the RLA roots and experience go back decades to make them the UK’s first national landlord association. Owned and trusted by the members, RLA represent 17,000+ landlords with a combined portfolio of more than quarter of a million properties. Being a member of an association like the RLA means that we will be supporting campaigns on behalf of our residential landlords on issues of importance to you personally and the sector as a whole. As a member of RLA our customers be rest assured they will received support on day to day lettings.
There are many examples on the DPS website which demonstrate how their decision was based on the information, or lack of information, contained in the inventory and check-in documentation.
The Association of Professional Inventory Providers (APIP) is a recognised standard of inventory provision, so landlords can be rest assured that all inventory’s carried out by Kingswood are completed in line with the standard set by the industry professionals.

Gas Safe Register is the official gas registration body for the United Kingdom, Isle of Man and Guernsey, appointed by the relevant Health and Safety Authority for each area. By law all gas engineers must be on the Gas Safe Register, and the Register’s role is to act as a licensing body.
When a business becomes Gas Safe registered they are being issued a licence to carry out gas work (much as the DVLA issues driving licences to those who have demonstrated their competence by passing a driving test).
As a result, the checks Gas Safe Register make prior to allowing registration only extend to ensuring that those applying for, and holding, registration are appropriately qualified as gas safety competent. Gas Safe Register replaced CORGI as the gas registration body in Great Britain and Isle of Man on 1 April 2009 and in Northern Ireland and Guernsey on 1 April 2010.
As we commit ourselves to the highest level in the industry at Kingswood Estates all our gas work is carried out by CORGI Registered gas Engineers.
UKALA’s relationship with Let Alliance has led to the exclusive, industry-first introduction of total loss client money protection (CMP) to UKALA members. Underwritten by A-rated insurers Hiscox, CMP is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority in the UK. This benefit is not available to anyone else in the market so marks an exciting achievement for UKALA.
An insurance product for letting agents, CMP protects against the loss of or attempt to fraudulently use client money such as rent and deposits by letting agents. CMP is Client Money Protection included in UKALA Membership to help safeguard property agents’ clients’ money.
The introduction of total loss CMP means that, for the first time, tenants and landlords will be able to claim back the entire amount of money that has been lost or misappropriated by an agent. Previously, the amount you could claim was capped, but now, whether you’re owed £5000 or £50,000, under UKALA’s total loss CMP, you’ll be able to claim ALL of your money back.*
With £billions of tenants’ and landlords’ money held by letting agents, the new total loss CMP is an important milestone in the industry.
With the removal of loss limits for both tenants and landlords, you can now enjoy the peace of mind of fully comprehensive cover. The exclusive benefit for UKALA members and their clients comes ahead of a number of changes for the private rented sector in 2018, including the Government making CMP mandatory for letting agents.
